Are you looking for a place in Milan to eat the real Neapolitan pizza in all its original taste?
The Lombard capital has attracted the attention of master pizza makers from Campania, undisputed custodians of the techniques and secrets of an ancient craft, most often handed down from generation to generation.
The pizza chefs of those parts have succeeded in two enterprises not just.
The first: to please such a different people that type of pizza conventionally considered heavy and indigestible.
The second: to clear the common thought, in the non-sectoral and therefore uninformed public, that Neapolitan pizza could only be made in Naples. Thus casting reflected light on the many small businesses scattered throughout Italy that churn out an excellent product far from Naples.
Well yes, today there is more awareness.
Milan, a multi-ethnic city, the undisputed capital of fashion and a new frontier for quality food, both Italian and international, has recently given us a new gastronomic gem.
There is talk of safeguarding the craftsmanship of the product, thus splitting the spirit of the great restaurant with the more casual bistro menus.
Thus was born at the end of November 2021 our new refreshment point in via Spartaco 16, Porta Romana area: the Santa Margherita restaurant, a place characterized by an inspiring motif: religion.

The cuisine also knows many and various regional differences, while maintaining a common line, typical of the Mediterranean diet.

Among the "delicacies" of Santa Margherita, in addition to fried foods such as montanare, proposed in three variants, the Classica, the Carbonara and La Gourmet, it seems that even Santifritti cannot be resisted. These are delicious crocchè and pasta omelettes, prepared daily with genuine ingredients.
The flagship is the dessert menu: babà, pastiera, caprese cake and tiramisu as well as, of course, the fried angels with Nutella, rigorously prepared with the pizza dough.
The restaurant, a few meters from the center, with a modern and refined atmosphere is the ideal place to spend an evening in the company of friends and relatives in the name of conviviality.
But what is definitely a point in favor of this place is that it is an informal, welcoming, familiar place. There are wooden tables on an antique floor, directional lights facing the walls and a minimal ceiling in line with modern architectural trends. The Santa Margherita has a style that makes it unique.
Milan is second only to Naples for the quantity of proposals for Neapolitan pizzerias.
